While Twilight star Taylor Lautner has been attached to star in Universal's 3-D action flick Stretch Armstrong since February, no director had yet been attached to the project until recently.
According to Entertainment Weekly, director Rob Letterman (Monsters vs. Aliens) and screenwriter Nicholas Stoller (Get Him to the Greek) will join forces to create the film for Universal. Stoller will be doing a rewrite of the original Stretch Armstrong script from Steve Oedekerk.
Letterman and Stoller most recently worked together on an upcoming adaptation of Gulliver's Travels from Twentieth Century Fox.
